Draw Near To Yeshua through Serving!

Image
Draw Near to Yeshua Through Serving “His mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.” — Song of Songs 5:16 Reflection In the Song of Songs, we find a beautiful picture of our relationship with Messiah Yeshua through the love between a young woman, known as the Shulamite, and her beloved. After suffering rejection and mistreatment while searching for him, the young woman begins praising her beloved to a group of women called the daughters of Jerusalem. She describes his beauty, strength, and excellence with such passion that their perspective completely changes. Instead of questioning why she continues to pursue him, they now want to find him too! They ask, “Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you?” (Song of Songs 6:1). The Shulamite, this spiritual picture of the church, has the power to lift Jesus up in such a way as to c...

Think HIMpossible!

Image
Think HIMpossible Scripture: Matthew 19:26, NKJV “Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (Matthew 19:26, NKJV) “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!”  (Romans 11:33, NKJV) We don’t need to live in this world very long to come to the realization that there are circumstances, life events, and needs that far exceed our capacity to adequately deal with them successfully. In fact, at times there is so much facing us that we feel life is impossible. We need help in our everyday living. Thank God for  Son Power ! Many passages in the Bible tell us how great the counsel of God is and how mighty he is in his works. Since he is the God of all things, nothing is too hard for him. To help us in our everyday living, we need to think “Himpossible” rather than that the situations in our lives are impossible. No one can ...

Trust Gid With Tomorrow!

Image
Trust God With Tomorrow “But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.” — Psalm 3:3 Reflection Beloved, in order for us to walk with God more intimately, we must believe that God is reigning in our circumstances each and every day. He is paying attention to the details of our lives, and He is not going to leave us alone. When Jacob was sleeping with his head on a rock, he had a dream in which he saw a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, with angels of God ascending and descending upon it. When he woke up, he said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it” (Genesis 28:16). What place was he referring to? The very place where he was lying. God was with him in his life, in his circumstances, right there, here and now. Through this experience, Jacob gained the confidence to know that he wasn’t alone. We must make up our minds to trust God, regardless of what is taking place around us. God is our shield. But there is a battle that t...

Perishable to Imperishable!

Image
Perishable to Imperishable Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:14–15, NKJV “The love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”  (2 Corinthians 5:14–15, NKJV) The love of Christ compels us! He died for us and rose again to give us right standing with God, not only to provide our way to heaven, but also to save us to do good works while we are still in this world. He has gone ahead of us to prepare a place for us, and he is coming back to receive us, so we can be with him. All of this motivates and enables us to take up our assigned places in his earthly kingdom to do his will until he comes to take us home. What does this mean? It means that we are so compelled by his love that we want to make sure his transforming power is at work in us, enabling us to convert the perishable things of this world into the imperishable...

Finding Peace From Within!

Image
Finding Peace From Within “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” — John 14:27 Beloved, Father God wants to fill us with His shalom, His peace. In Ephesians 3:16, the apostle Paul prayed that we would be strengthened with power through God’s Spirit in our inner man. The Hebrew word for spirit is  ruach , which also means breath. After Yeshua had been raised from the dead, He appeared to His disciples and said, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Then Messiah breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit” (John 20:21–22). Still today, Yeshua is breathing His life into His bride, the people who belong to Him, through His Spirit. This is why the Bible says we are partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). His divine nature has been and is being imparted into our lives. When Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, “Peace be with you,” He was speaking into their inner man, rooting and groun...

The Son Power Dynamic!

Image
The Son Power Dynamic Scripture: Isaiah 64:4, NLT “Since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”  (Isaiah 64:4, NLT) The  Son Power  dynamic is God at work in us and in our circumstances. The key ingredient is for us to wait and trust in him. We have learned that God’s desire for us is to not trust in ourselves, but to trust in  him  and his plans for us. Consider all the ways that God works on our behalf. Psalm 38:2 tells us, “The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’” (NLT). Psalm 16:7 says, “I will bless the LORD who guides me” (NLT). Psalm 32:7 proclaims, “For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory” (NLT). Ephesians 1:13–14 declares, “You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance” (NKJV). Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “The...

The Spirit Who Teaches and Guides!

Image
The Spirit Who Teaches and Guides “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” — John 14:26 Reflection Beloved, throughout Scripture, we see that God has always desired to communicate with His people. When Israel gathered at the foot of Mount Sinai, the people were so terrified of God’s presence, holiness, and awesome power that they cried out to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die” (Exodus 20:19). Yet God still wanted to communicate with His people, so He used the Law of Moses as a tool to teach and guide them. He also spoke through judges, priests, kings, and the prophets He appointed. Through all these generations, God’s Law continued to communicate His ways and His truth. When Jesus came as the fulfillment of the Law, God’s desire was fulfilled: He was speaking directly to His people! God in the flesh could no...
