Grow with the Increase from God!

Image
Grow with the Increase from God Memorize and Meditate “ For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. ” (Hebrews 5:13) Soak your Heart The Word of God is to our soul what food is to our physical body. When we grasp this truth, we have a tremendous incentive to delve deeply into the Word and to establish a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Only through a rich diet of the Word dwelling in us can we be strengthened in our inner person. Not only that, but it is impossible for us to grow spiritually without “eating” the Word.  A child or a baby will not grow unless it moves on to a more mature diet. This verse confirms we will be unskilled in our spiritual walk unless we partake of a mature diet.   Sow to the Spirit Express gratitude to God for providing his Word. Tell him how much you believe in it. Reflect on how the Word works inside you, transforming your attitudes and behavior.   Flow with the Spirit As you listen to the S

PRAY!

Image
Be merciful to me, O God, because of your constant love, and wipe away all my sins. Create a pure heart in me and put a new and loyal spirit in me. Keep me forever in your presence so that I may know the joy that comes from you and your salvation. Teach me to obey you. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.

You Are Alive!

Image
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins..." (Ephesians 2:1) You Are Alive Jesus came to give us life! Think about that for a minute. You used to be dead in your sins and trespasses. You had no hope. You lived in fear. But once you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you weren’t dead in your sin anymore. You now have hope for the future. You are alive in Christ! God wants you to live life to the fullest today. It doesn’t matter how you may feel or what you are facing, start thanking God for giving you life. Even if He didn’t do another thing for us, giving us eternal life is more than enough reason to praise and thank Him every day. Thank Him for eyes to see and ears to hear. Thank Him for the air that you breathe. Thank Him for loving you and making you alive today! A Prayer for Today "Father, thank You for making me alive in Christ today. Thank You that I am new. Show me how to live every day to the fullest so that I can enjoy life

Develop a Consuming Desire for God’s Word!

Image
Develop a Consuming Desire for God’s Word                   “ Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. ” ( 1 Peter 2:2–3 ) Once a baby has tasted its mother’s milk, the focus of that baby’s life is to cry, “More! More!”   The cry for more milk becomes the overriding desire of the baby’s life. The milk tastes good! The baby needs the milk if it is to survive and grow into a child and then an adult.  Peter uses this metaphor to illustrate our consuming desire for the Word of God. The only way we will be able to grow up into mature believers is if we consume God’s Word. The Word of God must saturate our inner person if we are to be effective witnesses for him. By ingesting our “spiritual M&M’s”— m emorizing and  m editating on the Word of God—we can grow in him. When we begin to uncover the riches in the Word of God, we become hooked. “ It is impossible for those who h

Love Much!

Image
"Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little." (Luke 7:47) Love Much Did you know that forgiveness opens the door for love to operate in your life? In this Scripture passage, Jesus was at a Pharisee’s house when “a certain immoral woman” came in and poured a jar of expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet and began to wash them with her tears and her hair. The religious leaders were shocked that Jesus would allow this “sinner” to touch Him. But she knew she was forgiven. When she received Christ’s forgiveness, love was the automatic response. She was forgiven of much, and she loved and longed to please Him. Do you want more love in your life? Do you want to feel more of God’s love and have stronger relationships with the people around you? Open your heart to forgiveness. Receive Christ’s forgiveness and extend it to others. When you are forgiven much, you will love much. As Christ’s love fl

Fix Your Eyes on Christ!

Image
Fix Your Eyes on Christ   “ Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ” (Hebrews 12:2) Most of us have issues to face while we are living in this world. Problems, challenges, and changing circumstances just go with the territory. One of the most difficult lessons to learn for us as believers is to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ instead of only focusing on the problems facing us. Constantly fixing our eyes on problems is debilitating. It leads to depression. In fact, we can make idols of our problems if that is all we think about. Jesus did not focus on the cross, its shame, or the humiliation from the soldiers and crowd. He focused on the joy, the forgiveness, and the eternal reward that would come from what he was doing. We have the promise, “ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye

Treasures Deep Within!

Image
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels…" (2 Corinthians 4:7) Treasures Deep Within You have many treasures buried deep inside of you—gifts, talents and abilities that you don’t even know about yet. But the greatest treasure within you is the Spirit of God. You carry the treasure of God in an earthen vessel! He’s also deposited treasures on the inside of you that are tied to your purpose. By His Spirit, you will discover that God has fully equipped you for everything you need in this life. We have to draw out those treasures inside of us by what we speak and what we believe. We stir up the gifts by praying in the Spirit. Don’t let those treasures lie dormant. Seek God and follow His leading. Dig deep, stir it up and move forward in the destiny God has in store for you! A Prayer for Today "Father, thank You for choosing to live inside of me. Show me the treasures You have deposited within me so that I can fulfill Your purposes for me all the days of my li

Sourced in God!

Image
Sourced in God Memorize and Meditate “ For I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. ” (Philippians 1:19)  Soak your Heart This verse is power-packed. I want to soak my heart in it. Our communion with God through the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ provides the way for our deliverance, both in this world and the world to come.   In  Kingdom of God , we learn through Scripture and we practice keeping Jesus Christ as the focus of our life. We realize that everything is sourced in him. His Spirit can supply the peace, love, patience, and kindness we need. He also has the power to ultimately make all things turn out for our good. He is the God of provision and of all power.   Sow to the Spirit We learn to communicate with God through prayer, which simply means talking with God. We learn to communicate with God as we acknowledge that all things are sourced in him. We admit that wi

Consider Your God!

Image
"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body…He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform." (Romans 4:19-21) Consider Your God Abraham, who is known as our father in the faith, had many obstacles coming against the promise of God in his life. God told him that he would be “the father of many nations.” Abraham was over ninety years old before he ever saw that promise begin to come to pass. This Scripture tells us that He didn’t consider his body. He didn’t think and meditate on all the reasons why he couldn’t be the father of many nations. No, he considered and thought about the strength and ability of God! He thought about God’s faithfulness and gave praise and glory to Him. The faith that Abraham exercised opened the door for God to do mighty things in and through Him. Today, what are you believing God f

Living a Power-Driven Life!

Image
Living a Power-Driven Life                 “ If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ” ( Colossians 3:1–3 ) If you are a serious practitioner of Kingdom of God, you are living a power-driven life. The person of Jesus Christ has become the power within your life to bring you into conformity with the will of God for his purpose in this world.  You are also seeking the things above. Your life is also becoming increasingly hidden in Christ as you strategically invest your time, talent, and treasure into advancing the kingdom of God. What are some of the characteristics of the person whose life is hidden in Christ? “ Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work’ ” (John 4:34).  You will be focused on doing the will of God and accomplish

Catch The Little Foxes!

Image
"Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom." (Song of Solomon 2:15) Catch The Little Foxes Everyone has opportunities to get upset and be frustrated every single day. Sometimes it’s the little things—we can’t find the car keys, traffic is backed up, somebody was rude, or what should have taken an hour ends up taking four hours. Something happened and now you are frustrated and all bent out of shape. There will always be something that can sour your day, but if you are going to live in victory, you have to maintain the right approach. You can’t let the little foxes spoil the vine. In other words, don’t let the little things in life spoil the harvest God has for your future. I’ve heard it said, “Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond.” Make sure you respond to life with an attitude of faith and expectancy. Sure, things may irritate you, but don’t let that irritation last into the n

Don’t Park Here!

Image
Don’t Park Here! “.. . But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ” (Philippians 3:13-14) I entered a parking lot and spotted a sign in front of a couple of parking spaces that said, “DON’T PARK HERE! I got the message. I moved on. This is what God wants us to do in our everyday life. We are to learn from the past, move on, and strain to meet the goals and objectives he has for us. Many people make the mistake of parking in front of their failures and/or disappointments. To do so is crippling. Instead of parking in front of our failures, we must accept the fact that our circumstances and relationships are always in a state of flux, and we must respond to the changes and challenges that come our way. To overcome challenges, we need the power of the cross to operate in our life. The best antidote for depression and disappointment is

Almighty God, you alone are holy and worthy to be praised. I seek your forgiveness and confess to you my sins and ask that you purify my heart. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.

Experiencing Grace!

Image
Experiencing Grace What can you expect if you practice the concepts of  Kingdom of God ? Look at what we  can anticipate in life when God’s grace actually works in our everyday living. By practicing  Kingdom of God  we place ourselves in a position, subject to God’s sovereignty, for God to work mightily in us and our circumstances. “ The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me…. ” (Psalm 138:8) We have the  expectation  of  GOOD   coming our way as we acquaint ourselves with him and receive instruction from his mouth.  “ “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart. ” (Job 22:21–22) We have the  expectation  of God’s living and powerful Word delivering us as we humbly  RECEIVE  and plant it in our heart.  “ Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. ” (James 1:21

The Tablet of Your Heart!

Image
The Tablet of Your Heart   “ Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. ” (Proverbs 3:3–4) Have you ever thought about what is written on the tablet of your heart? In  Kingdom of God  we stress the importance of soaking the heart in the Word of God. The heart is like a sponge and soaks up whatever is around it. Whatever we soak our hearts in becomes our treasure. If the water is dirty, then the treasure is dirty. If the water is pure, then the treasure of the heart will be pure. The Word confirms this: “ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks ” (Luke 6:45 ). We must ask ourselves what is the abundance found in our hearts. Whatever it is, that is the treasure of our hearts and what will manifest itself

Lord God, surround me today with the splendor of your loving presence. May I find favor in your sight and serve you in ways that bring honor and glory to you. Amen.

He Increase Your Strength!

Image
"He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]." (Isaiah 40:29) He Increase Your Strength In the Scripture, Joseph went through seasons of difficulty. He was rejected by his family, sold into slavery, lied about, mistreated, abandoned, falsely accused of a crime and thrown in prison. But through it all, Joseph never gave up. He kept pressing through and doing the right thing even though the wrong thing kept happening. Psalm 105:18 tells us that as Joseph lay in prison in those chains of iron, his soul entered into that iron. In that prison, Joseph developed supernatural strength, a perseverance that no one could take away. There are some lessons you can only learn in the dark places. If you are going through difficulty today, God wants to increase your strength. He wants to increase your power to overcome. He wants to make your inner man as strong as steel. When you keep sta

Relationship: The Key Component to a Fruitful Life!

Image
Relationship: The Key Component to a Fruitful Life.   “ So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. ” (Romans 6:11) This is an incredible statement to be making to the believer in Jesus Christ. By his sacrifice Jesus Christ has made us dead to the power of sin. We see this reality take place in our life when, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we put to death the misdeeds of the body. Sure, the old nature lurks around, always trying to re-assert itself (which it does, if the Spirit is not in control of us). We are God’s offspring and are to be responsive to his working in us. We are talking about  relationship  here. Our task is to make sure we do nothing to short-circuit the power of God working in our life. Paul reaffirms the relationship concept, writing, “ So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order

Switch Over To The Victory Channel!

Image
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." (Philippians 4:8) Switch Over To The Victory Channel It’s interesting that our mind will naturally gravitate toward the negative. One study showed how positive and negative memories are handled by different parts of the brain. A negative memory takes up more space because there’s more to process. As a result, we will remember the negative more than the positive. For example, a person will remember losing fifty dollars more than they will remember gaining fifty dollars. Knowing this, we have to be proactive with our thoughts. When negative memories come back to the movie screen of the mind, many people pull up a chair, get some popcorn and watch them all over again. No, the point is that’s not

Our Rewards in Heaven!

Image
Our Rewards in Heaven Most people don’t understand the Bible’s view of eternity. They understand that there is a physical world, the one in which we live and age and finally die. And they realize there is the eternal world that follows, bound by heaven and hell, but not physical locations or the passing of time. They see it as a “someday” place, something not really real until we get there. Yes, there really is a physical heaven, where God is and where we will see him. Paul says that “for now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:12). So we know that heaven will be wonderful, and there will be no more mysteries. However, it’s important to understand that eternal reality isn’t confined to being a someday thing. It is also a now thing. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians speaks of the “heavenly realms.” He means the eternal reality, the true nature of things t

Staying Rock Solid!

Image
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." (Matthew 7:24) Staying Rock Solid When we have rock-solid faith, we won’t be moved by what’s happening around us. We have peace in our hearts and minds because our hope is in God. We have an attitude that says, “I’m not moved by this medical report. I respect and honor people who are trying to help me, but I know God can do what medical science cannot do. God made my body.” “I’m not moved by the economy, the stock market or my job situation. I know God supplies all my needs. He promised He would prosper me even in a recession.” “I’m not moved by how my children are acting. I’m not stressed out because they’re off course, making poor choices. I know it’s only a matter of time. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Friend, that’s unshakable faith. That’s building your house on a rock-solid foundation. When the storms of life

How to Tap Into God’s Power During the Storms of Life!

Image
How to Tap Into God’s Power During the Storms of Life Memorize and Meditate “ Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. ” (2 Corinthians 1:9) Soak your Heart Our only hope to live the Christian life rests in trusting God to provide the power to live in harmony with his will. Jesus told us that apart from him we can do nothing. We are spiritually bankrupt. Our eternal salvation is provided by trusting in Christ alone. In everyday life, salvation can only be worked out as we trust in him to live through us. We need to continually remind ourselves of this core understanding. Sow to the Spirit God’s power raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and that power is available to us as we learn to tap into it. As we commune with the Holy Spirit and allow him to control us, God’s grace overrides the power of sin. As we trust in him, his life flows through us, allowing us to partake of his all-powerful divi

Whom Shall I Fear?

Image
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1) Whom Shall I Fear? With God on your side, there is nothing to be afraid of. There is a force in you that is more powerful than any opposition. No matter how big that enemy looks, greater is He that is in you than anything that comes against you. Refuse to give up, refuse to fall into fear, refuse to let it overwhelm you. When you have this warrior mentality, this “I can handle it” attitude, all the forces of darkness cannot keep you from your destiny. Remember, the enemy doesn’t have the final say; God has the final say. And when you put your faith and trust in Him, He says, “I will always cause you to triumph.” Be strong and be of good courage. Keep God first place in your life and move forward in confidence knowing that He is working things out for your good. A Prayer for Today "Father, today I choose to put my trust i
