Weave a Pattern of Gratitude to God!

Image
Weave a Pattern of Gratitude to God “ Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.”  (Psalm 50:23) When someone thanks you for what you’ve done, it’s a nice feeling. Expressions of gratitude strengthen our relationships. The same is true with our relationship with God; praising God and expressing gratitude enhances our relationship with Him. Throughout all the areas of my life, I am working at weaving a pattern of expressing gratitude to God. I praise him for allowing me to experience the beauty of his creation. Even when things aren’t going as I’d want them to, I always look for a way to thank God. “ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. ” (Psalm 69:30) If you haven’t developed a habit of praising God, why not start now, and see what happens? In conjunction with praising God, we must conduct ourselves properly under the umbrella of his will. “ I beseech you therefore, breth

The Gracious Hand of God!

Image
And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests. Nehemiah 2:8 The Gracious Hand of God Nehemiah was a cupbearer to the Persian king, Artaxerxes, when he prayed a bold prayer that the king be favorable to help him restore the broken-down walls of Jerusalem. Even though there was no reason why the king would help, when Nehemiah went to the king, the first thing the king said was, “How can I help you?” When God puts a big dream in your heart, He’s already lined up the right people to help you. Not only that, but the king agreed to provide the timbers, building supplies, and a military escort to keep him safe on the thousand-mile journey.   Nehemiah would tell you, “When you’re facing a big obstacle that looks impossible, thoughts will tell you that it will never work out. But the right people will be there to help you, the funds will show up, the good breaks will come. You have an advantage. The gracious hand of God is on your life.” There is favor on you

Good Works do Not Save Us. We are Saved to Do Good Works!

Image
Good Works do Not Save Us. We are Saved to Do Good Works “ Jesus Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. ” (Titus 2:14) We have been saved to do good works. Let’s be very clear about this.  Good works do not save us.  We are not saved “ by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. ” (Titus 3:5–7) The work of salvation has been done by the Lord Jesus Christ himself. We are justified (made acceptable to God) by receiving as a  gift  the salvation he has provided through Christ. However, we are saved to do the good works he has appointed for us. “ This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to a

Fully Restored!

Image
“The father said, ‘Quick, bring me the best robe, my very own robe, and I will place it on his shoulders. Bring the ring, the seal of sonship, and I will put it on his finger. And bring out the best shoes you can find for my son.’” Luke 15:22 Fully Restored If you’re familiar with the parable of the prodigal son, you know this young man had wasted all his father’s inheritance on partying and returned home dirty, broken, desperate, and feeling worthless. But when the father, who represents God, saw his son, he ran to him and embraced him. He immediately fully restored his son with the best robe, the family ring, and new shoes. Seeing him, no one would have believed he had made such poor decisions and ended up eating with hogs. The parable shows that when God restores us, we come out fully restored, full of joy, with gifts coming out, healthy, blessed, and prosperous. Get rid of the lie that says, “You’ll always be at a disadvantage. Look at the mistakes you’ve made.” That’s the enemy

What it Means to Adorn the Doctrine of God!

Image
What it Means to ‘Adorn the Doctrine of God’ “ …Not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior. ” (Titus 2:10) True faith is having a relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ. Christianity is not a list of  do s and  don’t s or an intellectual belief in the tenets of the Christian faith. We have been born again to a living hope – a relationship with the risen Savior who lives in and through the life of the believer. That being the case, Scripture exhorts us to be good examples of what we proclaim: “ Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel. ” (Philippians 1:27) Our daily conduct cannot contradict what we say we believe in. We live in a difficult environment, and it is critical we work at avoiding every form of ev

Share The Precious Gift of Faith!

Image
It so happened that Aram, on one of its raiding expeditions against Israel, captured a young girl who became a maid to Naaman’s wife. One day she said to her mistress, “Oh, if only my master could meet the prophet of Samaria, he would be healed of his skin disease.” 2 Kings 5:2–3 Share the Precious Gift of Faith Naaman was a captain in the Syrian army, very respected and influential, but he had leprosy. Despite all his success, all the honor, he had this painful disease that would eventually take him away from his family. His future did not look good. There was a young girl who had been captured and taken against her will from Israel and now was the maid to Naaman’s wife. This young lady could have been bitter, but instead she offered the hope of healing to a man who was not raised to know about Jehovah. She was a friend with faith who shared her faith. Naaman went to the prophet Elijah, received his healing, and became a believer in the true God. Be a friend with faith who prays for

What is Written on the Tablet of Your Heart!

Image
What is Written on the Tablet of Your Heart  “ Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. ” (Proverbs 3:3–4) Have you ever thought about what is written on the tablet of your heart? In Kingdom of God we stress the importance of soaking the heart in the Word of God. The heart is like a sponge; it soaks up whatever is around it. Whatever we soak it in becomes the treasure of our heart. If the water is dirty, then the treasure is dirty. If the water is clear and pure, then the treasure of the heart will be pure and clear. The Word confirms this: “ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. ” (Luke 6:45) What is the “abundance” found in your heart? Whatever it is will manifest itself in your life. People will be a

Show Up For Life!

Image
Make the most of every living and breathing moment because these are evil times. Ephesians 5:16 Show Up for Life If you’re going to be fulfilled, you have to show up for life, meaning you have to be there when you get there. Don’t show up focused on the future or on the past, living in regrets. Come into today. Yes, it’s good to have goals and vision, but you can’t be so focused on what’s next that you miss what you have right now. I know people who lost what they had by being so intent on going after what they wanted. They missed their child growing up and the joy of their relationship with their spouse. They came home, but they weren’t there. They were distracted, always planning for the future, and never came into the present. Today’s Scripture says to make the most of this very moment. What are you doing with today? Are you embracing where you are, present and connected, or are you present and disengaged? Make up your mind that you’re going to enjoy each moment, enjoy your family

Pray For The Favor of God to Rest on You!

Image
Pray for the Favor of God to Rest on You “ May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. ” (Psalm 90:17) Our relationship with God through Christ means LIFE, FAVOR, and REWARD! We all want to experience a full and meaningful life. The Scripture tells us we can experience the favor of God if we establish the right kind of relationship with him. He also tells us about rewards that can come from such a relationship. Those who practice Kingdom of God  and become yield-active  converterlators  (converting our perishable time, talent, and treasure in to the imperishable values of the Kingdom), have discovered this great secret of the kingdom. We have found life, favor, and reward already. And we are anticipating much more in the life to come. Therefore, we pray that the favor of God will rest on us. Power belongs to God. He is the one who can change circumstances. He is the one who can open doors. He is the one wh

PRAY!

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD my soul! I will praise you as long as I live, O God. I will sing to you all my life. Creator of heaven, earth, and sea, you always keep your promises; you judge in favor of the oppressed and give food to the hungry. You are king forever, and you will reign for all time! Amen.

Jesus is the Best Friend You Can Ever Have!

Image
Jesus is the Best Friend You Can Ever Have “ Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. ” (Revelation 3:20, NLT) In KingdomNomics, we focus on our relationship with God. This verse from Revelation tells us how Jesus Christ desires to get to know us, much like a friend we would invite to join us for dinner. “ Jesus replied, ‘All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.’”  (John 14:23) When someone makes their home with you, that is about as intimate a relationship as we can have. Not only is Jesus with us individually, but he is with us when we are gathered together as believers: “ For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”  (Matthew 18:20, NLT) That is relationship. One reason God wants us to have a relationship with him is so we can also have a proper relationship with other people. “

Play To Audience of One !

Image
Play to An Audience of One “ For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them. ” (Psalm 44:3) The world elevates people whom it proclaims are self-made individuals. Many of these people bask in the glory given to them by the world. But in reality, all life is sourced by God. In the verse from Psalm 44:3, the Lord made it perfectly clear that possession did not come by their own sword or by their own arm. The possession of the land was brought about by the right hand of the Lord, his arm, and the light of his countenance. He favored them! In the same manner, believers are not self-sufficient people who can claim any of our “successes” as being of our own making. Any glory should go only to God. This principle is proclaimed throughout Scripture. The blessing of the Lord is responsible for what we have. It is the Lord who has given people who

Wow!

Image
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—they lie down and then can’t get up; they’re snuffed out like so many candles: “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.” Isaiah 43:17–19 Wow! In today’s Scripture, God reminded the Israelites who were held captive in Babylon that He opened a way through the Red Sea in the exodus, that He called forth the mighty armies of Pharaoh and drowned them in the waters. “But forget about all of that. It’s nothing compared to what I’m about to do when I bring you out of captivity.” This brand-new thing was going to be far greater than anything they’d seen in the past.   We all can look back and see when God parted Red Seas for us. He’s opened doors that shouldn’t have opened, had us in the right place at the right time to meet someone special, turned our health around. We’re grateful. We know it was the hand of God. But God is saying, “You haven’t seen anything

Fix Your Eyes on Christ, Not on the Problem!

Image
Fix Your Eyes on Christ, Not on the Problem “… Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ” (Hebrews 12:2) One of the most difficult lessons we, as believers, must learn is how to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ instead of focusing on the problems and challenges we face. Fixing our eyes on the problem is debilitating. It leads to depression. In fact, we can make an idol of our problem if that is all we think about. Jesus did not focus on the cross, its shame, and the humiliation heaped on him by the soldiers and crowd. He focused on the joy, the eternal, and the ultimate results that would come from his sacrifice. We have the promise, “ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. ” (Psalm 32:8) We serve the God who sees and provides. He is the God of provision. God wants us to learn how
