God’s Cell Phone #33:3

Scripture: Jeremiah 33:3, John 14:8

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)

These are fantastic promises that God makes to us.

As we call on him, he promises to answer us and to show us great and hidden things, particularly the secrets of the kingdom including his great plan of salvation for mankind. All of these things are a process of the Spirit of God’s revelation to us.

Jesus himself says that he will come to us and not leave us as orphans. We are fortunate to know this truth. It gives us great comfort as we deal with the ever-changing environment of this world that is in the process of passing away.

The Word of God becomes increasingly precious to us as we absorb its living and working power, transforming us more into the likeness of Christ in our outlook regarding this perishing world. As a Kingdom of God thinker, we have several responsibilities regarding the Word of God; we need to READ IT, EAT IT, and LIVE IT, so HE WILL VISIT and PERFORM HIS GOOD WORD TOWARD US.

Cortes, the Spanish conquistador, said, “We Spanish know a sickness of the heart that only gold can cure.”

In Kingdom of God, we would say, “We all have a sickness of the heart that only the Word of God can cure.”

“Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” (James 1:21)

The power of the cross worked in the life of Paul.

His objective was, “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” (Philippians 3:10) “‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’

As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ ” (Acts 17:28) Everything we have been, are, or ever will be are sourced in him.

Today, ask yourself:

Am I calling on God regularly? Am I “eating the Word” like Jeremiah? “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.” (Jeremiah 15:16)

  The Roots of Hope Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–19 “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.   The Source of Son Power “ In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever. ” (Hebrews 1:10–12) These verses were written about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus is the one who laid the foundation of the earth! Jesus made the heavens with his hands! Jesus is the one who is always the same and will live forever! The earth and heavens we are able to see will be folded up someday and discarded like old clothing, but Jesus will live forever.
