Convictions are Key

“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” (Romans 4:20-21)

Abraham is a prime example of one who was fully persuaded that God would perform what he had promised. That is conviction. Conviction was a controlling factor in Abraham’s life, and he ordered his life accordingly, experiencing the blessing of God.

Conviction is a key component of faith.

When a person lacks conviction, their faith wavers and the promises of God may not be fulfilled. Scripture tells us, “When you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:6–7).

We must have the conviction that the Word of God is living and powerful, and that it works in those who receive and trust in it. The promises of God are all sourced in him and find their yes in Christ. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

From a practical standpoint, we must have the conviction that we serve a God who sees and provides. When he gives us assignments, we can be confident of experiencing his provision. “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

We are told in Isaiah that he does our works in us: “Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us” (Isaiah 26:12).

Throughout Scripture we see God performing his Word in people and circumstances. He is still in that operating mode today. “Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him” (Psalm 115:3).

Today, ask yourself:

Do I truly have the conviction that the Word of God is living and powerful? Do I believe God’s Word will work in my life as I “digest” the soak, sow, and flow principles of Kingdom Of God?

The Source of Son Power!

  The Source of Son Power “ In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever. ” (Hebrews 1:10–12) These verses were written about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus is the one who laid the foundation of the earth! Jesus made the heavens with his hands! Jesus is the one who is always the same and will live forever! The earth and heavens we are able to see will be folded up someday and discarded like old clothing, but Jesus will live forever.
