How Great is His Goodness!

“...How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world...”
(Psalm 31:19)
How Great is His Goodness

King David said, “What would have happened to me if I had not believed to see the goodness of God?” I wonder how many blessings we’re missing out on, how much favor, how much increase we’re not seeing simply because we’re not expecting it. We’re not releasing our faith.

Right now there are blessings that have your name on them. There is promotion stored up, healing stored up, vindication stored up, a house stored up. God has already destined them to be yours. But if you think, I’ll never get married. I’ll never pay my house off. I’ve made too many mistakes. God would never bless me, that is going to keep you from God’s best. Why don’t you try a different approach and say, “God, I believe You have some surprises in my future. I believe I’ll see Your goodness in a new way.” When you live with this expectancy, that’s when God will give you something to talk about.

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for Your goodness and the many blessings You have stored up for me. Thank You that when I keep You first place and honor You that blessings will chase me down and overtake me. I believe You have some surprises in my future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

                    Experience SON POWER I love to watch the clouds in the sky during the day and in the brightness of the moon at night. Watching those clouds move is an illustration to me of how God is always on the move. He is continually working to change our circumstances and is always available to intervene in the affairs of mankind. Sometimes the clouds appear to be still, but if I watch long enough, I see their changing shapes, I notice them moving ever so slightly and silently. I would not even be aware of that movement if I was not focused intently on them. God is like this so much of the time. He is on the move in our circumstances.  The landscape of our lives is constantly changing, and God is there, directing and guiding, even when we are unaware.  The book of Psalms says it well, “Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there!” (Psalm 77:19).   The Roots of Hope Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–19 “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The land was soon to be invaded and, because of the disobedience of the people to God over time, prosperity was no more.
