Think HIMpossible!

“Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (Matthew 19:26)

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” (Romans 11:33)

We don’t need to live in this world very long to come to the realization that there are circumstances, life events, and needs that far exceed our capacity to adequately deal with them successfully. In fact, at times there is so much facing us that we feel life is impossible.

We need help in our everyday living. Thank God for Son Power! Many passages in the Bible tell us how great the counsel of God is and how mighty he is in his works. Since he is the God of all things, nothing is too hard for him.

To help us in our everyday living, we need to think “Himpossible” rather than that the situations in our lives are impossible. No one can put God in a box. Nothing restrains him in accomplishing his purposes.

The depth of the “wisdom and knowledge of God” is truly unimaginable. His ways are beyond our understanding. However, he can and does reveal both wisdom and knowledge to his people by his Spirit.

“God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10).

Who would have thought that God would provide a pathway through the Red Sea for the children of God to escape?

Or that he would save humankind through the obedience of Noah’s building a large ship?

Or that Daniel would survive the lions’ den?

Or that the walls of Jericho would collapse just because the people of Israel marched around them?

Or even that we could be saved from our sin because Jesus died a horrific death on a cross?

God reveals the mysteries of his kingdom to us, his disciples. We must trust in his wisdom and his plan.

Talk to God

Heavenly Father, help me overcome the limitations of my own thinking. Help me to see and understand things from your perspective. Remind me that you are not bound by human reasoning or experience. Help me to think Himpossible in my daily life. Amen.
