4Rs.The Judgment Factor

4 Rs: The Judgment Factor
“This is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.” (Romans 2:16)
The judgment of God is something we often do not want to think or talk about.

But the message of this verse in Romans is that judgment is very real. Our life on earth is temporary.

Hebrews 9:27 tells us, “People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment”.

The apostle John wrote, “The Father judges no one. Instead, he has given the Son absolute authority to judge” (John 5:22). Judgement is real.

Relationship
A right relationship with God through Christ saves us from the wrath of God. “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life” (John 5:24). We have already passed from death to life through God’s provision.

Revelation
Trust in Jesus Christ alone is what saves us. “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:55)

Reflection
We must constantly remind ourselves that it is only the blood of Christ that purchases our redemption. “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God” (1 Peter 1:18–19).

Redemption
Our response is critical. When we believe in Christ Jesus as our Savior we are filled with the Holy Spirit and have the power to live for God. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him” (Philippians 2:13).

“Now may the God of peace—who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen” (Hebrews 13:20–21).

Talk to God
Thank you, Father, for revealing your truth in your Word. I ask for a continuing unfolding of your revelation to me. Amen.
