How Do You See Yourself?

Image
Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes again, and his eyes were opened. His sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly. Mark 8:25 How Do You See Yourself? In today’s Scripture, after Jesus initially put His hands on the blind man’s eyes, the man could see but his vision was blurred. Everything was out of focus. Then Jesus touched his eyes a second time, and the man’s sight was completely clear. How is your inner vision? How do you see yourself? Perhaps your vision is blurred by what people have said. “You’re too small. You’re too inexperienced. You’re not talented enough. You don’t have what it takes.” You may struggle with low self-esteem. You see yourself as not measuring up. You have to change that picture. You’ll change that blurred vision when you get in agreement with how God sees you. He said you are fearfully and wonderfully made. He calls you a masterpiece, one of a kind. Why don’t you get your image in line with God’s image? If you change your p...

From Perishable to Imperishable!

Image
From Perishable to Imperishable Have you ever considered that  everything  you and I can see and touch is ultimately going to pass away? We live in a  perishable  world; it is all subject to decay and destruction. However, the things of heaven are imperishable; they will last forever! And we can store up our true treasure in heaven. Jesus said, “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal” (Matthew 6:20). Do you want to be rich in the next world, the real world, the world that will last forever? If so, you need to be actively converterlating the perishable items of this world into the imperishable treasures of the world to come. Converterlators understand that  we all live in a time bubble that can pop in this perishing world at any time.  When that happens we will find ourselves in a totally different paradigm. The wise person realizes that in the end, all of our e...

Rejoice!

Image
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4 Rejoice God did not create you to live depressed, stressed out, worried, or frustrated. He intends for you to be joyful, peaceful, contented, and happy. Take an honest look at your life. Is there joy deep down inside? Do you get up in the morning excited about your future? Are you enjoying your family and friends? If not, what is stealing your joy and causing you to live upset? Joy does not depend on your circumstances; it depends on your will. To “rejoice in the Lord always” is a choice that you make. It’s a decision that you’re going to enjoy each day whether your plans work out, or whether they don’t. Sometimes, everything that can go wrong will. When you have one of those days, dig your heels in and just go with the flow, knowing that God is working all things out for your good. Refuse to let the negative thoughts play in your mind and tune in to thoughts of joy, peace, faith, hope, and victory. Believe...

Applying Son Power To Your Time!

Image
Applying Son Power to Your Time Jesus said,  “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:13). Jesus Christ is not only the beginning and the end, but he is also everything else in between. The apostle Paul said,  “For to me, to live is Christ”  (Philippians 1:21 and  “Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth”  (Colossians 3:2). We are to live for him, glorify him, and finish the work he has given us to do. So here is my question for you:  Are you actually living your life with this purpose? My Days Are Numbered! Every person on earth is given twenty-four hours each day, with sixty minutes in every hour. God allows each one of us to choose what we want to do with those minutes and hours. Psalm 90:12 says,  “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”  .  Because of our  relationship  with our heavenly Father, we can count on him to give ...

Facing Spiritual Opposition Head On!

Image
Facing Spiritual Opposition Head On Let’s face it, the difficulties we see and experience on a daily basis are beyond our ability to fix. Satan is doing everything he can to convince us that we really don’t need God or his power working in us, for us, or through us. How do we deal with the opposition we inevitably are encountering? In my life, I have found that I need to engage powerful weapons when it comes to protecting myself against Satan’s schemes.  Satan will use whatever means he can to devour my time, talent, and treasure and to keep me from using my resources for God’s purposes and his glory.  Over time I have discovered five “Power Weapons” for fighting against Satan. These weapons are entirely dependent on God’s power and not my own. Power Weapon 1: Call on God Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.         ...
