  God Takes the Little and Does Big Things Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good are these for so many people?  (John 6:9) This verse is taken from the passage about the feeding of the 5000 people by Jesus. We learn a tremendous  Kingdom of God  principle from the small boy in the story who had two small fish and five barley loaves of bread. In verse 9 the disciple Andrew questions how so little can be relevant in feeding a multitude of people. Jesus took what was little and miraculously used it to feed 5000 people! What can we learn from this amazing story? God can take our   time, talent, and treasure ,  even though we think they are small and insignificant, and exponentially multiply them for the advancement of his kingdom. We all want to be “two fish and five loaves” people, willing to share so Jesus can do great things through us as we make ourselves available to him.   The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.” Genesis 41:52 Fruitful Joseph endured thirteen years of betrayals, being sold into slavery, falsely accused and sent to prison, delays, disappointments, and bad breaks. Yet he kept being his best, and eventually he was made prime minister of Egypt. It’s interesting that after all of that, he named his second son Ephraim, which means “productive, fruitful.” He was saying, “I’ve gone through so much that was unfair, but God caused me to prosper despite all that tried to stop me.”  If you’re going to have an Ephraim, if you’re going to see God prosper you in the midst of the difficulty, you have to stay productive, keep using your gifts, keep stretching, keep being good to people.                         A Kingdom View of Money The commands to fear the  Lord  are rightand endure forever. The judgments given by the  Lord  are trustworthy and absolutely just. They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delightthan honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.  (Psalm 19:9–11) The Bible warns us about putting too much value on gold and silver. I have come to the conclusion that money is like a rattlesnake. It has to be handled carefully. Only God’s Word can give us the guidance we need to have a proper perspective on worldly wealth.   Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. Romans 4:20 I Still Believe Oluwafemi, God gave Abraham the promise of a son when he was seventy-five years old. Even though both he and Sarah were too old to have a child, faith rose in Abraham’s heart. Twenty-five long years went by during which he had plenty of reasons to give up on the promise, but the Scripture says, “In hope against hope Abraham believed.” He went from “I believe” to “I still believe.” He had a made-up mind, and when he was one hundred years old, he and Sarah had their son. God is looking for “I still believe” people. Maybe you believed God’s promise but nothing’s changing, no doors have opened, you’ve been told no over and over. Thoughts tell you, “It’s too late.                 Sowing and Reaping The person who sows to his own fleshwill reap corruptionfrom the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.  (Galatians 6:8) The principle of sowing and reaping is a key spiritual concept we need to incorporate into our lives. In the secular world, we understand the more we invest in a good investment, the greater returns we can expect. The same is true in a spiritual sense. Second Corinthians 9:6 tells us, “The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.” The returns for investing in the kingdom of God are going to be huge! It makes sense for us to be wise and invest as much as we can while we have the opportunity to do so. Once any of our three Ts are invested in eternity, they cannot be taken away from us by anything or anyone. They are kept in heaven for us along with our salvation: “Blessed be th...

  “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:30, NKJV Easier Than You Think if you start your day dreading something you’re facing, you’re drawing in what you’re thinking about. If you’re telling yourself, “I can’t pass the course. This problem is too big. I’ll never get past this sickness,” you’re defeating yourself. Turn it around and say, “God, this looks difficult, but You say that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. Thank You that it’s going to be easier than it looks.” The Most High God is arranging the good breaks, the healing, the favor, the promotion. He has the right people lined up for you. He knows how to change people’s minds to be for you. You don’t have to do everything in your own strength and ability. You have to stay strong and fight the good fight of faith. It may not happen overnight, but keep believing, keep declaring the promises, keep doing the right thing. You’re going to come into moments of favor when God suddenly causes things to fal...

            Silence Isn’t an Option Then they said to one another, “It’s not right what we’re doing! This is a day to celebrate, but we haven’t told anyone. If we wait until dawn, we’ll be punished. So come on, let’s go and inform the royal palace.”   (2 Kings 7:9) The siege was on by Aram, and people were starving in Samaria. Four lepers decided to surrender to the enemy, hoping they’d be allowed to live. When they went to the location of the enemy camp, the lepers discovered the soldiers had fled. The Lord had made the soldiers hear sounds that caused them to believe allies were approaching to help with the attack. In their haste to flee, the army had abandoned all of their food and valuables. The lepers plundered what they could, storing as much as possible for themselves. Then they realized that what they were doing was not right. People were starving just over the hill! Remaining silent was not an option. They felt compelled to share the good news...
