Pass It On !

I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God.
2 Timothy 1:5–6, NIV
Pass It On
The apostle Paul mentored a young man named Timothy who had gotten discouraged in his ministry. Paul wrote to him: “Stir up your gifts. Fan the flame. Get your passion back. Keep the faith.” And he reminded Timothy that when he did, his faith was not just making his life better, but it would impact his children and grandchildren just as the faith of Timothy’s grandmother and mother impacted him. Every time you stand strong, do the right thing when it’s hard, and believe for your dreams even though circumstances are against you, you’re making it easier on your children and grandchildren. It’s not just personal; it’s generational.

That should inspire us to live a life of faith. You’re making it better for your children and grandchildren. You’re making sure they have a foundation of faith, knowing that we serve an awesome God, that He can take them places they’ve never dreamed, that He can heal them, that He can sustain them in a storm, that He can bring gifts out of them that they don’t know they have. Keep the faith and pass it on.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your goodness in my life, the amazing things You have done. Thank You that I can shake off the blahs, fan the flames, and stir up my gift. I believe You are restoring my passion, and I believe that You are making an impact on the people in my life through my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
