Object Lessons!

All these things happened to them as examples—as object lessons to us—to warn us against doing the same things; they were written down so that we could read about them and learn from them.
1 Corinthians 10:11, TLB
Object Lessons
The Scripture provides us with countless object lessons to read about and learn from. Think of the life of Moses. If you were in his classroom, he would tell you, “I’m here to encourage you that it’s not too late to accomplish your dreams. I was eighty years old, taking care of sheep in the desert, and thought I’d made so many mistakes that God was done with me. Then one day God showed up in a burning bush and said, ‘Go deliver the two million Israelites from Pharaoh.’ I didn’t think I could do it. I was intimidated, I stuttered, but something rose up in me, a faith, a fire, an anointing. I stepped out and God made things happen that I never imagined.”

Take this lesson from Moses. God didn’t disqualify you because you made mistakes. He hasn’t forgotten about you out in the desert. You may have been there a long time, but this is a new day. What He started in your life, He’s going to finish. Get your fire back. Get your passion back. It’s still going to happen.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are working out Your plan for my life in Your best way. Thank You that Your favor is for my lifetime, not just a season, and that Your favor supersedes my mistakes. I declare that my eyes are fixed on You and I am looking for Your goodness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
