  The Son Power Dynamic “Since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”   (Isaiah 64:4) The  Son Power  dynamic is God at work in us and in our circumstances. The key ingredient is for us to wait and trust in him. We have learned that God’s desire for us is to not trust in ourselves, but to trust in  him  and his plans for us. Consider all the ways that God works on our behalf. Psalm 38:2 tells us, “The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’” . Psalm 16:7 says, “I will bless the LORD who guides me” . Psalm 32:7 proclaims, “For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory” . Ephesians 1:13–14 declares, “You were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance”. Ephesians 2:7 Immeasurable In another translation of today’s Scripture, the apostle Paul said that we would see “the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor).” That’s favor as we’ve never seen before. That’s how the word “explosion” is defined. It means a “sudden, widespread increase.” That’s what God wants to do for us. Suddenly. You won’t expect it. It’s out of the ordinary, and it’s not small. It’s so amazing you know it had to be the hand of God. You may think your situation is permanent. You don’t see how you can ever rise any higher and accomplish your dreams. All the calculations are telling you that you’ll never get out of debt, but God is saying, “You need to get ready. You haven’t seen My explosive blessings. You haven’t seen the immeasurable, limitless, surpassing greatness of My favor. I will bless you beyond ...

  God’s Infinite Power at Work “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. ” (Colossians 1:15–17) Reread these verses. No other power  imaginable  is greater than what is described here. Christ, himself, is God. He existed before all of creation. God created everything in heaven and earth for him, by him and through him including all things seen and unseen. It is by his great power that all things are held together. This takes on even greater meaning when we look at the universe, the planets, and countless stars.   Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” Exodus 3:6 The God of Jacob In the Scripture, it talks about the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. I can understand how He is the God of Abraham, the father of our faith. I can understand how He is the God of Isaac, who was the miracle child of God’s promise and extremely obedient. But when it says He is the God of Jacob, that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Jacob was a cheater. He went around deceiving people. He stole his brother’s birthright. Jacob was known for making poor choices. What was God saying? “I’m not just the God of perfect people. I’m not just the God of people who never make a mistake. I’m the God of people who have failed. I’m the God of people who have blown it.” You may have made mistakes, but be encouraged. You may have lost your temper, struggled with an addiction, or compromised your integrity.   Soaking Up God’s Word Scripture: Job 22 The 22nd chapter of Job confirms a few of the basic principles of Kingdom of God for making the Word  of God personally operative in our lives. In verse 21 we are encouraged to acquaint ourselves with God so that we will be at peace with him and have the prospect of good coming our way. It is emphasized for us to receive instruction from his mouth, and then to be sure to lay up his words in our heart. This confirms that we must soak our heart in the Word of God, treating it like our spiritual M and Ms, that is,  m emorizing and  m editating on it. How good it is to feel and know that God is planning to have good coming our way!  These truths point us in the direction of the truth stated in Job 23:14, “For He performs what is appointed for me.” Wow! This tells us that God is taking an active and working part in our lives as we acquaint ourselves with him and store up his word in our heart. Let’s be sure to first acquaint ...

  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 You Have the Cure One of the challenges we faced with the coronavirus was that our bodies had no antibodies to fight it. Without a cure, without a vaccine, we were at its mercy. Once you have the cure, the vaccine, you don’t have to fear the disease. But what about virus-like poisons you can’t treat with a vaccine—guilt, fear, depression, addictions. These can infect our thinking, poison our self-esteem, and make us sick with regrets, hurts, and disappointments. The good news is that the Scripture says by the stripes Jesus received before He went to the cross, He took our guilt, our shame, and our failures upon Himself, and “we are healed.” We are not at the mercy of fear, depression, or addictions.   The Power to Change Belongs to God Scripture: Job 26:8-14 How awesome is our God! In Job 26:8-14 we are told, among other things, that he hangs the earth on nothing, and that he  stirs up the sea with his power, and by his Spirit he adorned the heavens. The power and scope of his workings are beyond human comprehension. Even with the revelation of these truths we are told that, “Indeed these are the mere edges of his ways.” We have so much more to see, understand, and experience in our relationship with God. This is why Paul said he can do more than what we can ask, think, or imagine by his incredible and immeasurable power that is at work on the inside of us and in our circumstances. Today, ask yourself: Does my view of God take into account the unlimited attributes of his capacities? Do I believe he can accomplish anything he desires to do in the heart of a willing Christian who trusts in him? Ask God to help you to see him for who he really is: Almighty God!
