Believe!

Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed….You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”
Luke 1:42, 45
Believe
After Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she was highly favored and that she would give birth to the Savior of the world, she visited her cousin Elizabeth. Even though Mary was blessed above all women, if she hadn’t believed God’s promise, she wouldn’t have seen the miracle come to pass. She could have easily talked herself out of what God said would happen to her, but instead she said, “God, I agree. I believe.”

God is saying to you, “This is your due season. Dreams are coming to pass. Problems are turning around. You’re about to rise to a new level.” Now, you can let your circumstances talk you out of it, or you can do as Mary did and believe His Word. When you arise as she did, God will cause you to shine. Dare to believe big, to pray bold prayers, and to expect God to do the extraordinary. You are not a lightweight. You didn’t get just enough favor; no, you are highly favored. If you expect His blessing, you can’t imagine what’s coming your way.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your promise to Mary that she had found favor with You and that she would give birth to Your Son. Thank You that no word from You has ever failed. I believe that I am highly favored and that Your words to me will be fulfilled. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

  Sovereign God, create in me a clean heart and cleanse me of all my sin. Give me an obedient heart and teach me to follow your laws and keep your commands. May all I do and say bring honor to your holy name. Thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and for your everlasting love. Amen.

This is why we confess and repent of our sin to restore a working relationship with God. One of the best protections against sin gaining control is to humbly accept and plant the Word in our heart.
