BUILD ON THE ROCK

“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
— Matthew 7:26–27 

Every one of us sooner or later is going to experience challenges in life, whether it’s a result of us getting older, losing a job, or having a health issue. How we handle the difficulties we face depends on the foundation our lives are built on. In Jesus’ parable about the man who built his house on the sand, Yeshua is pointing out the disastrous end that awaits anyone who doesn’t build their lives upon Him. They will be swept away, just as sand is washed away during a storm. 

On the other hand, consider the outcome of the one who anchors their soul in God. “The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green.”

Beloved one, I want to encourage you to make God the priority in your life. Spend time alone with Him every day. Let us truly live for the Lord and build our lives on the solid rock of Messiah Yeshua!

Give Cheerfully!

        Give Cheerfully “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  (2 Corinthians 9:7) When giving is done with the right attitude, it can be a gateway for God to move in significant ways in our lives. It is important to remember that it is not the amount we give that matters so much as it is the attitude that characterizes our giving. God loves it when we give out of a cheerful and grateful heart. God’s loving of a cheerful giver results in God taking action in our lives. Scripture states unequivocally that God will make all spiritual and earthly blessing abound to us so we can multiply our efforts for the kingdom. This is why I believe giving provides a major gateway for God to work in our lives, we can expect God to visit us.
