Supercharged!

Image
You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! Psalm 103:5, Supercharged When David first saw the giant Goliath, he could have thought, “I’m too small, not strong enough, not experienced enough. I have no chance.” David knew he was limited, but he also knew that God was saying, “Don’t worry, I’m about to supercharge your life. I’m going to give you strength that you’ve never had, ability that you’ve never seen, and favor that will catapult you ahead.” We all have times when we feel we’ve reached our limits. We’ve done our best at work or in a relationship, stayed in faith, but the dream seems too big, the challenge too strong. We’ve come to the end of our ability. If only we had more talent, more stamina, more favor, more creativity, then we could accomplish the dream. When you feel you’re at a disadvantage, the opposition is stronger, you don’t have the endurance, God is about to supercharge you. God is putting a new set of wings on you. Get ready to

How to Score Points for Eternity!

Image
How to Score Points for Eternity “ I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. ” (Luke 16:9) We had better listen carefully to any words Jesus Christ uttered. They are just as applicable today as they were when he walked the earth. We have seen how he brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. He also brought to light the perishable and the imperishable. Everything we can see and touch is perishing: “ For this world in its present form is passing away. ” (1 Corinthians 7:31) Paul said, “ And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. ” (1 Corinthians 9:25) The Kingdom of God practitioner is incentivized by the imperishable values held dearly by almighty God. Jesus tells us to use worldly wealth to gain friends for eternity, so that when worldly wealth is gone we will be welcomed into

Be a Giver!

Image
“For we must always cherish the words of our Lord Jesus, who taught, ‘Giving brings a far greater blessing than receiving.’” Acts 20:35 Be a Giver One of the greatest temptations we face is to slip into the subtle trap of living selfishly. When you live to give and not to take, not only will you avoid that pitfall, but you will have more joy, blessing, and favor than you dreamed possible. God is a giver, and He created us to be givers. The spiritual principle is that when we reach out to other people in need, God will make sure that our own needs are supplied. If you want your dreams to come to pass, help someone else fulfill their dreams. If you’re down and discouraged, get your mind off yourself and go help meet your friend’s need. Sow the seed that will bring you a harvest. Have an attitude that says, “Who can I bless today?” You can give a smile or a hug or an encouraging word. You can do a small but meaningful task to help someone. You can visit someone in the hospital or make a

The Spirit Factor!

Image
The Spirit Factor “ However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. ” (1 Corinthians 2:9-11) If we hope to be effective in practicing the principles of Kingdom of God, we must experience a continuing and growing relationship with the person of Jesus Christ. This can only happen when the Spirit of God performs his functions within the heart of the believer. In the above passage, concentrate on the words “prepared,” “revealed,” “searches,” and “knows.” These are all functions performed by the Spirit of God for the people who love God. God has prepared things for those who love him. “ For we are God’s handiwork, c

Open the Floodgates!

Image
He led them in safety, so that they were not afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.  Psalm 78:53, Open the Floodgates When Pharaoh and his army were overwhelmed by the Red Sea, nothing could stop the force of the mighty rushing water. You’ve probably watched videos of cars and houses being swept away during a huge flood or cities in a tidal wave. In the same way, you may have obstacles that look insurmountable, but let me encourage you: When God releases a flood of His power, nothing will be able to stop you. That sickness may look big, but when God releases a flood of healing, it doesn’t stand a chance. Your opposition may be stronger, but when God opens up the floodgates, they’ll be no match for you. You may not have the connections or resources you need, but when God releases a flood of favor, people will come out of the woodwork to help you. Good breaks, opportunities, the right people will search you out. You need to get ready not for a trickle, not for a stream, not for

The Holy Spirit Seals, Reveals, and Deals!

Image
The Holy Spirit Seals, Reveals, and Deals “ And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. ” (Ephesians 1:13-14) The Spirit of God  seals  us at the moment we believe and trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ for our salvation. This is the guarantee of our inheritance in heaven that is being kept for us imperishable, incorruptible, and unfading. This assurance of salvation sets us free to be of service to the King in the time we have remaining in this temporary world. This gives us time to invest our  time, talent, and treasure  in the imperishable values of the world to come instead of spending our  three Ts  on what is perishing in this world. After the Spirit seals us, he begins the process of  revealing  the things of G

Real Joy!

Image
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. 1 Peter 1:8 Real Joy If the circumstances of life have taken away your joy, today is the day to get it back. You weren’t meant to live this life feeling drained, depressed, and down. God wants you to be renewed in your faith in Christ, to be filled with an inexpressible joy, and excited about your future every day. If you don’t make the conscious effort to keep your joy, year after year you’ll get more and more solemn. You’ll get negative, discouraged, and sour. Not only will the enemy rob you of the joy that belongs to you, but he’ll rob your family and friends of the gift that you have to give them. When you have joy, you can use that joy to influence the people around you for good. The joy of the Lord is your strength, and when you choose to hold on to joy, you can offer strength to the people God has placed in your life. Kee

Echo into Eternity!

Image
Echo into Eternity A reward time  is  coming. There  is  a time when each one of us will stand in front of the Judgment Seat of Christ for the purpose of receiving reward or suffering loss of reward. We  do  have accountability to the Lord for what we have done or not done here on this earth. Jesus Christ is coming back, and he is bringing a reward with him. The apostle Paul had a lot to say on this topic in the New Testament. Here are just two examples from his letters to the Corinthians: For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. —2 Corinthians 4:17 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work th

Truly Amazing!

Image
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39 Truly Amazing Oftentimes, when we make a mistake or feel that we have disappointed God, we think we have to stay away from Him until we get our act together, so to speak. But the Scripture says nothing can ever separate you from the love of God. His love is truly amazing and everlasting. It goes beyond any human love we could ever know. There’s nothing we can do to make Him love us more and nothing we can do to make Him love us any less. He loves us, not based on our performance, but on our relationship as His children. He’s always there with open arms ready to receive you and make you new. Today, if there is anything in your life that is keeping you from receiving His love, set those things aside. Remember, God’s not mad at you; He’s madly in love with you. Let His love transform you into the pers

Our Rewards in Heaven!

Image
Our Rewards in Heaven Most people don’t understand the Bible’s view of eternity. They understand that there is a physical world, the one in which we live and age and finally die. And they realize there is the eternal world that follows, bound by heaven and hell, but not physical locations or the passing of time. They see it as a “someday” place, something not really real until we get there. Yes, there really is a physical heaven, where God is and where we will see him. Paul says that “for now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:12). So we know that heaven will be wonderful, and there will be no more mysteries. However, it’s important to understand that eternal reality isn’t confined to being a someday thing.  It is also a now thing. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians speaks of the “heavenly realms.” He means the eternal reality, the true nature of th

Focus on Things Eternal!

Image
Focus on Things Eternal “Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” —1 Peter 1:13 In the church world today we are not often challenged to be looking for Jesus’ return. That combined with the fact that He hasn’t yet come in ages past has caused many Christians to stop looking for His appearing altogether. But Peter is saying that we should completely fix our minds on the fact that Jesus is coming back and will reward us for what we have done in this life. We see this truth throughout Scripture. Jesus’ last words in the last chapter of the last book of the New Testament are “Yes, I am coming quickly” (Rev. 22:20). He has also promised to reward us for everything we do for Him while on this earth waiting for Him. Yeshua said, “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man

Converterlating Your Treasure!

Image
Converterlating Your Treasure A relationship with Christ changes our perspective on all things, including how we use our treasure. Before Christ came into my life, I had one view of money — it was meant to be used for my own personal pleasure. My view was distorted. Everything I thought was important was diametrically opposed to the things of God. I needed the perspective of eternity. I love the story of Zacchaeus in the New Testament. In Luke 19 we read, “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.’ So [Zacchaeus] hurried and came down and received him joyfully” (Luke 19:5 – 6). Zacchaeus was a “money guy” who was hated by his own people because he was a tax collector for the notorious Roman government. He was a self-starter, and he really did not care what other people thought of him. But here we find him wanting to see Jesus! He found a tree that would put him above the crowd and he waited. W
