You Can Shine Like a Star Forever!

But the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavenly expanse. And those bringing many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)

You have the potential to be a star for all of eternity, shining in all of the brilliance of heaven. And those who are engaged in turning many to righteousness will shine even more brilliantly according to this passage.

Since the Word of God and the souls of people will be the only things to last forever, it makes sense for us to spend our time, talent, and treasure to win as many people to Jesus Christ as possible.

The eternal factor that all of the human race has to consider, is the most important decision any individual faces. It determines our eternal destiny!

In the book of Proverbs, we are exhorted to seek wisdom. Such wisdom includes being involved in winning souls for Christ by helping in what many Christians refer to as the Great Commission.

All of us need to find ways in which we can be a part of God’s redemption plan for humankind. Those who do have the promise and expectation of shining like a star forever!

Today, ask yourself:

What am I specifically doing to help fulfill the Great Commission?

                    Experience SON POWER I love to watch the clouds in the sky during the day and in the brightness of the moon at night. Watching those clouds move is an illustration to me of how God is always on the move. He is continually working to change our circumstances and is always available to intervene in the affairs of mankind. Sometimes the clouds appear to be still, but if I watch long enough, I see their changing shapes, I notice them moving ever so slightly and silently. I would not even be aware of that movement if I was not focused intently on them. God is like this so much of the time.   The Roots of Hope Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–19 “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The land was soon to be invaded and, because of the disobedience of the people to God over time, prosperity was no more.
