Kairos Moments!

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2
Kairos Moments
In today’s Scripture, the Greek word used for “time” is not “chronos,” which means ordinary time—minutes, hours, and days. The word used is “kairos,” which means an opportune moment, a passing instant where an opening appears. It has to do with an appointed time, a season of favor. God has already ordained these kairos moments when you come into opportunities that seem over your head. You’ll be tempted to shrink back, but God wouldn’t have put you there if you couldn’t do it. It’s a season of favor. Suddenly, you know you can overcome an addiction, you know you can beat that depression, you know lack and struggle are not your destiny. You feel faith rising. You’ve stepped into a kairos moment—a special time that God has strategically designed for you to come up higher. That’s why His favor is on you in a new way. If you step into it, doors are going to open that you couldn’t open. Get ready for some kairos moments that will thrust you ahead.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are enthroned forever, and You have ordained these kairos moments of favor for me. Thank You that You open up these opportune moments of grace and help me do what I cannot do on my own. I am expecting to see more of these moments when You thrust me ahead. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

                    Experience SON POWER I love to watch the clouds in the sky during the day and in the brightness of the moon at night. Watching those clouds move is an illustration to me of how God is always on the move. He is continually working to change our circumstances and is always available to intervene in the affairs of mankind. Sometimes the clouds appear to be still, but if I watch long enough, I see their changing shapes, I notice them moving ever so slightly and silently. I would not even be aware of that movement if I was not focused intently on them. God is like this so much of the time.   The Roots of Hope Scripture: Habakkuk 3:17–19 “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments. ”  From a circumstantial standpoint, the prophet Habakkuk lived in a terrible time. The land was soon to be invaded and, because of the disobedience of the people to God over time, prosperity was no more.
