The Restorerof Years!

Image
“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.” Joel 2:25 The Restorer of Years You may feel like you’ve been in a season of lost years. You’ve invested so much in your business, in accomplishing your dream, or in dealing with an illness, but it looks like it was wasted. The locusts came in and ate up your harvest. Stay encouraged. Payback is coming. God is keeping the records. He’s going to restore opportunities that you missed, relationships that are not what they should be, the years you struggled with depression or loneliness. He’s even going to restore the years you lost not making good decisions, giving in to compromise. You don’t have to live in regrets, thinking you missed your season, that it’s too late to accomplish your dreams or have good relationships with your family. God knew we would make mistakes. He’s not going to just redeem you; He’s going to redeem the time. He’s going to give you another chance. Don’t believe the lies that you’re too...

Fear Not! God is With You!

Image
Fear Not! God is With You Scripture: Isaiah 41:10 “ Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. ” (Isaiah 41:10) Fear paralyzes us, particularly when we focus on the problem or worry we face. Fear drains the life out of us. When we allow fear to control us (instead of God controlling us), fear becomes a god. At least 450 verses in Scripture address the subject of fear. It is a topic God wants us to handle properly. We are not to be afraid because  God promises to be with us . As we face formidable circumstances, he tells us not to be discouraged because  he  is our God, and  not  the circumstance. Furthermore, he promises that he will strengthen and help us; he will hold us up with his victorious hand. As we face obstacles, we should always remember God. The “God Factor” is the solution to our problems. But fear distracts us from seeing t...

Rise Up!

Image
Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again. Proverbs 24:16 Rise Up Sometimes when we’ve fallen into sin and are down on ourselves, we’re waiting for God to do something for us when He’s waiting for us to say, “I will rise again. I’m not going to go through life beating myself up, living condemned. Yes, I’ve done wrong, but I know I’m forgiven. I know I’ve been redeemed.” Those mistakes you made didn’t cancel your destiny. Quit listening to the accuser who will remind you of everything you’ve done wrong. Don’t sit around feeling discouraged and defeated, thinking about all the mistakes you’ve made. God has already forgiven you. Now forgive yourself and move on. It’s time to rise up and get your fire back, get your passion back. Nothing you’ve done is too much for the mercy of God. He knew every mistake you would ever make. He’s already taken into account your wrong turns. He has a plan even for the times when you’ve missed it. Now rise up, and the chains of condemnatio...

All Good Is Sourced in Almighty God!

Image
All Good Is Sourced in Almighty God Scripture: Isaiah 43:26 “ Put Me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. ” (Isaiah 43:26) Life is difficult. We live in a broken world. For  Son Power  to work in my life, I must remember God. Who has the power to change me? Who has the power to change circumstances? Who has power over all things? Who has the solutions to all my problems? Scripture makes it clear that all good is sourced in almighty God. He ultimately has the solutions to our problems. Therefore, it makes sense to remember God constantly. I refer to this truth as the GOD FACTOR. The world has turned its back on God, but the believer brings life in harmony to the revealed will of God through  Son Power . Think about it. God has delivered us from the power of sin. Prayer, plus the supply of the Spirit, results in deliverance. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, who guarantees our future deliverance or salvation. Life...

TRUST HIM AND OPEN THE DOOR!

Image
TRUST HIM AND OPEN THE DOOR “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You,  Lord , have not abandoned those who seek You.” — Psalm 9:10 When we fully depend upon the Lord, His grace comes in and strengthens us. His “power is perfected in weakness. Our temporary struggles can become a platform for future momentum and breakthrough! Our problems are God’s opportunities. Yet when dealing with something, we may become so anxious and fearful that we shut off honest communion with Father. Instead, we should cling to God in our challenges, exhibiting trust that the trial can become a gift. As we cling to Father in the midst of our problems, not only will we overcome them—we will be better because of them.  Paul told the church in Corinth he faced such hardship that he despaired even of life. “Indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead.” Paul was saying, “The Lord pu...

The God Factor!

Image
The God Factor Scripture: Romans 5:20 “ God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. ” (Romans 5:20) The GOD FACTOR is  SON POWER  at work in our life. SON POWER is the power of God overcoming obstacles. SON POWER is God’s grace at work in the believer, overcoming the power of the flesh and the lure of the world system that operates in contradiction to God’s ordained principles. For believers, it is time to arise, for our light has come. We are light in the Lord. We are to put on the armor of light. We are to walk as children of light. In fact, we are instructed to position ourselves so Christ can shine on us, “ for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, ‘Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.’”  (Ephesians 5:14) When Christ shines favorably on us, things happen! “ Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does...

Continue Forgiveness!

Image
One thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. Philippians 3:13, Continual Forgiveness We all have opportunities to get upset and be offended. A coworker is rude, someone cuts you off in traffic, or a friend leaves you out. It’s easy to get sour, try to pay people back, or hold a grudge. We don’t realize that’s poisoning our life. That offense is like a toxin. It’s not affecting the other person; it’s souring our joy, taking our peace. The apostle Paul had all kinds of opportunities to live offended. Religious leaders lied about him, some coworkers walked away, others turned against him. But Paul had a system of release. He said, “One thing I’m good at is letting things go, not taking the offense, not dwelling on what happened yesterday. I put all my energies into reaching to what’s up ahead.” You can’t stop offenses from happening, but you have to continually release the hurts rather than dwell on what someone said ...

How to Release SON POWER in Your Life!

Image
How to Release SON POWER in Your Life Scripture: Romans 8:5–6 “ Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. ” (Romans 8:5–6) Focusing on what the Spirit desires is critical for  SON POWER  to operate in the life of the believer. If we focus only on satisfying the desires of the sinful nature, we will not have the privilege of seeing the GOD FACTOR become reality. The believer has been transferred to a new paradigm, where the rules and power for the way we live are sourced in the Holy Spirit of God. We must focus our mind on what the Spirit desires, trusting him to work out our salvation by his power. Trusting in self to live the Christian life ends in total failure because our sufficiency for doing so does not exist. We have ...

Created to Shine!

Image
God himself has blessed you forever. Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! Psalm 45:2–4 Created to Shine We know that God is glorious, but do you realize that God created you to shine? You have greatness in you. But too often we don’t recognize who we are. We see ourselves as ordinary. “I can’t do anything significant. I’m not that talented. I can’t accomplish my dream. I don’t have the education. This giant is too big to defeat.” We can all find excuses to shrink back and settle for mediocrity. But the psalmist is saying, “Don’t you realize that you’re not average? God has blessed you. You are glorious. You’re a mighty warrior. Your God has anointed you. You’re not supposed to just make it through life. There are awe-inspiring deeds in you, things God destined you to accomplish that will boggle your mind. There are victories that will catapult your family forward and promotion that will thrust you to a new level. When you defeat giants, it will give you greater influence, greater...

The Power of the Cross!

Image
The Power of the Cross Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18 “ The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. ” (1 Corinthians 1:18) It is by the cross we are crucified to the flesh and its passions and desires. It is by the cross we are crucified to the world with all its lures of temptation. “ Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. ” (Galatians 5:24) “ As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. ” (Galatians 6:14) SON POWER  enables us to die to self and live in a way that pleases God. The Apostle Paul said, “ Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we l...

Hebrews 4:1-13!

Image
Introduction Hebrews 4:1–13: The author continues describing God’s promised rest and recounts that those “who first heard the Good News did not receive that rest, because they did not believe” (verse 6). Verses 1–3 affirm that those who accept the good news with faith will be recipients of God’s promised rest. Verse 3 concludes with the author quoting from Psalm 95:11 which is also quoted again in verse 5. Today’s Key Verse: Hebrews 4:3a GNT We who believe, then, do receive that rest which God promised. Read 4  Now, God has offered us the promise that we may receive that rest he spoke about. Let us take care, then, that none of you will be found to have failed to receive that promised rest.  2  For we have heard the Good News, just as they did. They heard the message, but it did them no good, because when they heard it, they did not accept it with faith.  3  We who believe, then, do receive that rest which God promised. It is just as he said, “I was angry...
