Greater Works!

Image
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 Greater Works Oluwafemi, when Jesus was on the Earth, He did so many amazing things, and He said we would also do these and even greater works. That requires a great faith. You may think you don’t have that much faith, but it’s in you. You just have to make the decision to believe—not in what you can do, but in what our God can do through you. On your own, you may be limited. You don’t have the qualifications, the resources, or the influence. That’s okay. You’re not on your own. You and God are a majority. When He breathes on your life, you’ll go places you’ve never dreamed. You’ll discover talent that you hadn’t known you had. Doors will open that you couldn’t open. The right people will show up. If you do your part and have great faith, God will do His part and show out in your life. Take the limits off God and

From Convert to Converterlator!

Image
From Convert to Converterlator God is in the life-changing business … and he wants to transform you into being more Christ-like in  all  areas of your life! The first step occurs when you place your faith in Christ alone to be your personal Lord and Savior. But accepting Jesus into your life is still only the first step. It is important to understand that each one of us is supposed to be an agent of change; a transformer who not only experiences a life of joy now, but who also makes decisions that will make our life echo into eternity. This is a basic principle of  Kingdom of God  We use the resources available to us, what I like to refer to as the “three T’s,” time, talent, and treasure, to make a difference for eternity. And in so doing, we are  Converterlator s. A Converterlator is  actively working  to bring about kingdom change.  A Converterlator understands God’s purposes for giving us time, talent, and treasure to  use for him . A Converterlator sees the bigpicture, a picture

Rescue is Coming!

Image
Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. Psalm 34:19 Rescue Is Coming In the Scripture, Ruth was a young woman when her husband suddenly passed away. Her whole life was turned upside down with all that heartache and pain. It didn’t seem as though God had good plans for her. But being a believer doesn’t exempt us from great disappointments and hardships. There will be unfair things that we don’t understand, but this is where you have to trust that God is still in control. If you’re patient and don’t get bitter, God will give you beauty for the ashes. Ruth went out in the fields each morning to pick up leftover wheat just to survive. One day the landowner, a man named Boaz, noticed Ruth. Long story short, they ended up falling in love, getting married, and having a little baby boy named Obed. Holding her baby, Ruth never imagined she would be that happy, that fulfilled. She didn’t have to work in the fields; now she own

Be a Converterlator!

Image
Be a Converterlator! What in the world is a “Converterlator”? Well, until I decided to write my book there was no such word as  Converterlator ! I created the word to describe the change that occurs in the life of a child of God who is shifting the gears of their life from  park  to  drive.  This transformation propels them into a life of  converterlating  and brings positive change into their lives from both an earthly and eternal standpoint.  A Converterlator is  actively working  to bring about kingdom change using  all  of the resources God has made available him or her.  A Converterlator understands God’s purposes for giving us time, talent, and treasure to  use for him . The purpose for doing so brings glory to our Creator God as we live an exciting and fulfilling life here on earth  and build treasure for ourselves in heaven. This is a key principle of  Kingdom of God  living a disciplined life committed to experiencing maximum returns in life  and  eternity. Every human being

Lord God, you are a welcoming God, inviting all people to become part of your people. Open my heart to welcome those I meet, extending your kingdom of love and keeping your covenant. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.

The Loaf of Time!

Image
The Loaf of Time I think of daily time like daily bread. Each one of us has a “loaf” of time, if you will. Each day consumes one slice, and the loaf becomes smaller as time passes. We eventually realize this, to our dismay, and it becomes so very important to use our given time wisely—to make our lives count for something meaningful.  That’s what  Kingdom of God  is all about: knowing and experiencing the benefits of joyfully trading  earthly, temporary gratification for something that will last forever. The movie  Gladiator  opens with a scene in which the Roman General Maximus is getting his troops excited before they go into battle against barbarians in Germany. He rides his horse back and forth at the head of the line, and he shouts so that all his troops can hear him, “What we do in life echoes in eternity!” This statement is true on every battlefield, whether in a deep forest with the Roman army or in the ordinary decisions you make in the

Holy God, I sing and shout for joy because of your faithfulness, and I trust in your promises and in your never-ending love. Amen.

The Strategic Few!

Image
The Strategic Few Many people choose what is easy. Few people champion the kind of principles we’re discussing with  Kingdom of God  . Fewer still are those who will live them out. Being intentional about the use of our time, talent, and treasure is difficult. So we may not be surrounded by a great crowd of enthusiastic adherents to these ideas. But they are still true. They actually work in this life, bringing great joy and contentment. The real question is this:  “Am I going to aspire to be one of the few strategic Christians in this world who lives out the incredible truths of  KingdomNomics , rather than simply talking about them … or will I take the easy way that leads to unprofitable results?” Will you look back from the vantage point of eternity and know you’ve made the right things, or will you have ultimately made poor decisions? It’s true that  Kingdom of God  principles have incredible benefits here and now—but they also require discipline, wisdom, and sacrifice. We live i

The Final Say!

Image
The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does. 1 Peter 5:10–11 The Final Say You may be in a season of suffering and struggle. You may feel that your health, your marriage, or your finances are never going to get better. No, God Himself is about to step in and do what only He can do. When you see how He restores and brings you out better, your mourning will turn into dancing, your sorrow into joy, your weeping into laughter. Don’t believe the lies that you’ll always be lonely, you’ll always mourn the loss, always be brokenhearted. No, your time is coming. God says, “It won’t be long until I have you back on your feet.” It won’t be long until your health turns around, until your child gets back on course, until the situation in your marriage resolves. It may look as though the enemy has won. Th

Three Kinds of Believers!

Image
Three Kinds of Believers I’m something of a student of human behavior, and I’ve come to some conclusions about how most people in the world relate to God and his gifts. With regard to those who do make some kind of attempt to serve God, I’ve observed that there are basically three kinds of believers in this world. 1. Earthly-minded Believers The first category of people I’ve identified is a large one, perhaps because it requires the least thought. These believers accept what God has given them and use their resources for their own comfort, pleasure, and personal gratification. The Earthly-minded Believer sees money the way nearly everyone else does. He wants to keep as much of it as possible, and use it for his own personal enjoyment of life. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the financial fruits of our labor. God wants us to do so. The important question is this: Are you spending completely on things that pass away like a vapor—or are you investing significantly in the things of G

The Light in You!

Image
The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light. But if your eye is unsound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the very light in you [your conscience] is darkened, how dense is that darkness! Matthew 6:22–23 The Light in You Jesus says that the lamp of the body is the eye. Your “spiritual eye” is your conscience. He adds that if the eye is clear, if your conscience is clear, life is good. You’re going to be happy, filled with light. You will have a positive vision and will enjoy God’s blessings. But many people are living with a heaviness, a darkness, hanging over their lives. They have some nagging feeling, something’s always bothering them. They’re not happy. The problem is they don’t have a clear conscience. They’ve ignored the warnings for too long. When we’re not doing what we know we should be doing in certain areas, our lives get darkened and heavy. Maybe God is dealing with you about having a better attitude, ab

Time? Talent, Treasure!

Image
Time, Talent, Treasure Kingdom of God  is living life by the principles defining value from God’s point of view, as outlined in the Scriptures.  We apply these principles in the decisions that determine how we invest our time, our talent, and our treasure, the “three Ts” of kingdom advancement. We all have time, talent, and treasure, and these are being consumed daily. The question is, by what? Are they being consumed for the sake of temporary pursuits, or toward things that are eternal? For those who take seriously the coming of a new life—one that follows earthly life—nothing could be more important. And yet so many of us live as if these decisions are trivial, expending those three Ts with little thought of the fact that what we do here echoes in eternity. Let’s begin by breaking down your life to the lowest common denominators. We’ll start with  God —the one who made you. Then there is you. Then there are your resources—everything you can use or interact with in this world, inclu

No Fear!

Image
“Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:8 No Fear God told Jeremiah that He had set him apart before he was born, that He had called him to speak to nations, and that he would be a prophet who would impact the culture. Jeremiah was a teenager and felt unqualified, but God told him He would give him the words to speak. Wherever Jeremiah went, God’s hand of favor would be on him. After God spoke all these incredible promises to him, He finished by saying, “Don’t be afraid of the people.” God knew that people wouldn’t understand Jeremiah, that people were not going to like the words of warning he was going to speak to them, that friends might walk away. God was saying, “Don’t let the opinions of others hold you back. Don’t let what they think or say keep you from fulfilling your purpose.” God is saying the same message to us: “Don’t fear the people. If they don’t approve you, that’s not going to stop your purpose.” What will stop

Making A Difference For All Eternity!

Image
Making a Difference for All Eternity What would you be willing to sacrifice for a season, so you could enjoy something far greater, forever? Jesus talks about a man who finds a treasure buried in a field. This man goes out and sells everything he has in order to raise funds to buy that field. He believes he has nothing that isn’t expendable toward gaining the precious treasure he has glimpsed. (See Matthew 13:44.) That’s how it is for the Kingdom Investor.   He has caught a glimpse of a treasure nothing on earth can match—an eternal treasure.  All that he has must be invested toward that treasure. When God is glorified, that’s when the Kingdom Investor is energized. Jesus also told stories about masters who gave their servants sums to invest. The workers were held accountable not for using their resources and not for preserving them, but for multiplying them. (See Matthew 25 and Luke 19.) The master, of course, is Christ. And why does he take time to give us sums to invest? His work
